Yankees Social Media Spotlight: Go New York Go New York Go – Pinstripe Alley

It’s Sunday once more, and you know what that means — it’s time for our weekly social media roundup! Since we met last week, we have been hit with a barrage of bad news, as superstar right fielder Aaron Judge hit the injured list with a stress fracture in the rib that he has apparently been dealing with since late April. Elsewhere in the city, though, vibes have been fantastic, as the New York Knicks have been the talk of the town (or is it…the talk of the Karl-Anthony Towns?). How have the Yankees been dealing with such an up-and-down week in NYC? Let’s find out!

We start with the biggest news of the week, the Knicks taking a 2-0 series lead over the San Antonio Spurs on the road in their first NBA Finals appearance since I was three years old. Naturally, members of the Yankees’ family took to Instagram to mark the occasion, either by wishing the Knicks luck in the Finals or trying to see which players in the organization know ball.

Naturally, Hall of Famer CC Sabathia — an avid basketball fan — took to Facebook to highlight the series. Note — it doesn’t seem like he’s attended a game yet, but, it appears that a member of his family graduated this week, so he’s been understandably a bit busy.

Dave Sims, meanwhile, rocked a Knicks jacket during Game 1 on Wednesday, as he called the Yankees’ loss to Cleveland.

Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. took advantage of last Monday’s off day by accepting an invitation from Jimmy Fallon.

The Giants take the Bronx

The New York Giants’ rookie class visited Yankee Stadium this past Friday, with first round picks Arvell Reese and Francis Mauigoa throwing out the ceremonial first picks.

We’ve got one game belt posted on Instagram this week.

We’ve got a lot of miscellaneous content from CC Sabathia this week. Naturally, he posted about Judge’s injury on Facebook.

Meanwhile, he visited Rookie and Dash, the Trenton Thunder bat dogs, for their Opening Day, as his son Carsten begins his second season with the Thunder.
